How do they make stainless steel black?

This is a common question appliance shoppers have, and it has a really simple answer. The stainless steel is just steel with an added polymer coat to create the black finish, whether it’s shiny or matte.

Also, to clarify stainless steel is usually made from a mix of iron, chromium, and in some cases silicon, carbon, and even nickel.

  • This is the second time I’ve used their services, and both time was helped by Alex. He was incredibly thorough, punctual and incredibly diligent. He went above and beyond and even fixed a wobbly door under my sink. It’s always a pleasure to find a reliable and efficient service, and I would absolutely use Alex in the future!
